NINETEEN THIRTEEN | http://soundcloud.com/nineteenthirteen
A cellist and two percussionists form a trio to push through the boundaries of time and tradition in the chamber rock band Nineteen Thirteen. A mix of old and new technology, the cello multiplies to infinite layers with the steady and complex percussion. Nineteen Thirteen is named after the year the cello was made. In 1913, Janet Schiff cellist is accompanied by Scott Johnson on drumset and world-renowned Victor DeLorenzo (founding member of the Violent Femmes) on percussion. Listeners and witnesses of 1913 are captivated by the interaction of electrically amplified, accoustic cello and stereo-sound percussive rhythms. The trio builds a bed of melodies and harmonies which are heavy but precise in counterpoint and intonation. Nineteen Thirteen is cutting-edged post rock.

THE DEMIX | http://soundcloud.com/thedemix
Influenced by film scores and soundtracks, eclectic rock, left-field electronic music, early rave and DJ culture, The Demix creates cinematic, eerie, genre defying songs, sounds and mixes. Most nights at MELT you've seen him as the opening DJ setting the mood for the evening, for #13 he'll close out the night with a set from the dark apocalyptic side of the moon.

MOBILE SOUND UNIT | http://soundcloud.com/soundunit74
John McCoy’s solo project, Mobile Sound Unit, is the culmination of years of tinkering and experimentation. Mobile Sound Unit employs everything from guitars and synthesizers to treated beats, found sounds, tape loops, and the intimate manipulation of effects and sound processors. Mobile Sound Unit works within its own eratic logic– but it works. There is a lo-fi, grainy quality that is inherent in john’s music. However, as disjointed as it may become, there is an underlying cohesiveness that holds the songs together and makes them all the more interesting.

AUTUMN ANYDAY | http://soundcloud.com/autumn-anyday
Started in 2009 by friends James Luker and Timothy Reisig, Autumn Anyday was meant to be, however strange that sounds, after no contact in years these friends stumbled upon each other thru a popular internet website. Not knowing what eachother had been up to and after sharing stories of shows each had played in the past they realized they had the itch for a new project. With a huge musical library of influences and years of live performance experience Autumn Anyday was born into existence. James and Timothy, both proficient guitarists, decided on a live/digital experience. Diligent and dedicated Autumn Anyday are building the foundation of their music from the heart, soul and spirit within.
